Taylor Cotton Heritage Center & Goodman Gin
The Cotton Heritage Center tells the story of cotton and why it remains one of the most important crops in the world. Visitors can explore a timeline of cotton gins from the 1600s to today, along with historic engines, the Moss Lint Cleaner, and other equipment that changed farming forever. At the center is the Goodman Gin, a nearly 150-year-old structure that shows how early farmers turned raw cotton into a valuable product. Together, these exhibits give guests a hands-on look at how cotton shaped West Texas and continues to impact our daily lives.
